SAFETY

PRICKLY THINGS IN THE GROUND --
While we're not as prickly as other parts of the desert, we do have some prickly plants 'round here.  Most of us run with Stans or Slime. We recommend that you do the same and be sure to carry a blow-out/repair kit with ya.

WATER & FOOD --
Temperatures are mild, perfect actually, 'round here.  That said, you'll be having so much fun out there that you'll likely lose track of time.  Make sure you pack plenty of water and snacks.

SHARING THE TRAIL --
Many of the trails are multi-use, meaning there may be hikers and equestrians on the trail.  That said, miles of the BEST trails are primarily used by us cyclists.  Either way, just please keep in mind that the Hikers and Equestrians have the right-of-way. Many of them are tourists, elderly or even athletes out training.  No problem...simply slow down, stay to the right (if appropriate), and if necessary, kindly announce you're approaching as to not startle them.   When passing other riders, typically, the rider going UPHILL has the right-of-way.  (You'll be thankful for this when it's YOU trying to get up that hill! :-)
